Saint James United Methodist Church

Acts 2:1-21. Sometimes people talk about Pentecost as the birth of the Church. Perhaps. It was more than that. 2000 years later we look back on that day and wonder what to make of it ourselves. Having heard the story so many times myself I have lost any sense of the surprise it must have been for those first disciples. Has God ever surprised you? Does God even do that any more? That's what we'll talk about Sunday.

Saint James has been given permission to hold a called Charge Conference for the purpose of approving the Church Council resolution directing the Trustees to sign the necessary documents to list Saint James.

What does the future hold? This is a question mulling around in our minds about most things in our lives. How will my health be as I age, where will I go to college, what will my work be and will it change, will my relationships last? Your Church Council at Saint James asks the same questions especially as they relate to what Saint James will look like in years to come, how will we best share the love of Jesus with our community, and how will we meet the needs of a growing congregation especially with our littlest folks.
